Surgery

The surgery service at Tampa Bay Veterinary Specialists offers a wide variety of treatments for surgically related diseases.

Orthopedic procedures include arthroscopy, tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO) for cranial cruciate ligament disease, hip replacement and triple pelvic osteotomy (TPO) for hip dysplasia, complex fracture repair, and Ilizarov (circular) ring fixation for angular limb deformities and limb lengthening.

Soft tissue procedures include chest and abdominal surgery, patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) correction, ameroid ring occlusion of portosystemic shunts, pacemaker implantation, and skin grafting/reconstructive surgery.

Spinal procedures include diagnosis and treatment of disc herniation, atlanto-axial instability, Wobbler's disease, lumbosacral stenosis, spinal trauma, and spinal neoplasia.
